About our church

The Church of God in India, located in Dubai, was founded in 2004 by committed individuals who gathered at the residence of Brother Varghese George, affectionately known as Thampachayan. Since its establishment, the church has experienced significant growth in multiple areas of ministry, notably in the interpretation of Biblical truths, support for mission work, and provision of assistance for those in need.
Pastor Joy Abraham was appointed as the founding pastor of the church. In 2006, he was succeeded by Pastor Finny Joseph, who brought with him a strong background in ministry and a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) degree from the Senate of Serampore. Pastor Finny Joseph served the church faithfully until 2017. After his tenure, Pastor Madhu Soman, who holds a doctorate from the Asia Theological Association (ATA) and has extensive ministry experience, continued to lead and minister to our congregation, upholding the church’s commitment to spiritual growth and community support.
